The submission period ended Jun 2 at 12:00

How to submit?

You can submit entries from April 3 at 12.00 until June 2, 2025 at 12.00 pm. Each entry can only be submitted once, either as a general design solution or as a Young Idea solution. The submission must be in English.

Registration is free of charge and there is no fee for submitting a design solution, because the Danish Design Award is a non-commercial award.

Please note that by submitting, your material can be promoted on official Danish Design Awards channels if you get shortlisted/win. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Submit a Design Solution

The Danish Design Award celebrates innovative design solutions and their creators, highlighting the potential to shape the future and drive significant global change.

The Danish Design Award winners are chosen based on our five design values, representing design's most crucial role and potential today. We celebrate design solutions because of their unique and stand-alone quality and experience. Boxes and defined categories do not enhance that.

Submit for Young Ideas

One design solution is awarded the Young Ideas Award. This award highlights and celebrates design solutions from academic institutions in Denmark. The solutions can also be speculative and future-oriented design. The design solution must not have been on the market.

WHY CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

When you start your submission, you will be prompted to create a user account. This allows you to start filling out the form, save it, and continue later before submitting it. Once your entry has been submitted, you can log in to your user account to see it, but you will no longer be able to make changes.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

Anyone can enter. This means that all private and public organizations and designers with a connection to Denmark can submit entries for the Danish Design Award. This includes Danish companies that have worked with a designer from outside Denmark and designers in Denmark who have worked with a company abroad. All students from academic institutions in Denmark can enter for the Young Ideas Award.

CRITERIA

The submitted products and design solutions have to meet the following formal criteria:

  • Everyone involved in creating the product or solution must have consented to participate
  • Products or design solutions must not have been on the market or in use for more than four years at the time of entry.
